Where Are the Common Nouns Capitalized?

The capitalization rule for common nouns is quite simple, you should not capitalize the common name unless you start the sentence with the common noun. Common Noun Examples

As we learned earlier, common nouns are used to denote a class of objects. According to this information, anything that is an object but not a specific object can generally be classified as a common noun. Accordingly, some examples can be given as follows. Note that people are also named with common names, but sometimes these names can be used as proper nouns if we consider their occupation or given names.

Objects: pen, phone, car, shoes, clothes, plate, glass, mirror, etc.

Professions: teacher, doctor, volleyball player, lawyer, painter, singer, policeman, actor, actor, seller…

Animals: cat, lion, dog, bird…

Places: boxing ring, playground, tennis court, shop, market, beach, city, parking lot…
