ACTION WORDS

What Are the Action Words?

Action verbs, often known as dynamic verbs, describe a physical or mental action. The action verb describes what the sentence’s subject is doing or has done. The function of action verbs in sentences and the purpose they serve can be better understood by looking at action verb examples.

Common Action Verbs

In the English language, there are a plethora of action verbs. A human, animal, or even an object can do anything using an action verb. Whether you want to know if a word is an action verb, look at the phrase and see if the word represents anything that someone can do, be, or feel. It’s an action verb if it’s something they can do (if it is something they can be or feel, it is a non-action, or stative, verb).
