Using In order that, Definition and Example Sentences

in order that” is a conjunction which is used to join two clauses. (one of them expresses an action, the other expresses the purpose) “in order that” is used before the clause which indicates the purpose.

Example Sentences;

  • I will leave the party early in order that I will catch the bus.
  • They will go to England in order that they can improve their speaking.
  • I study my lessons very hard in order that I can pass the exams.
  • We got up early in order that we would not be late for the meeting.
