Conditionals Type 1

In order to construct conditional clauses, which are sentences formed with an if clause, the main clause and if clause are needed. Each sentence has its verb and meaning. Since conditionals have more than one type, you should know which tenses to use in these sentences and use these tenses according to the meaning of the sentence.

How to Use Conditionals Type 1

All conditional statements show us a possible condition and the possible outcome of this condition. Conditional Type 1 sentences are used to express a possibility that may happen in the future, although it is not certain that these possibilities will occur, it is possible and this possibility depends on the fulfillment of the condition.

When constructing a Conditionals Type 1 sentence, the sentence structure in the if clause sentence should be Present Tense, and the main clause sentence should be established with Simple Future Tense. However, although the Simple Future Tense has the patterns of “be going to” and “will”, we need to use “will” since it is not possible to form a planned sentence in these sentences.
