During
For part of a period of time. Used before a noun to say when something happens.
Examples
- I watched television during a break in my studies.

Since
Between a past time and now. We use since + the start of a period.
Examples
- She has been here since 6 O’clock.
- He hasn’t slept since yesterday.
- I haven’t eaten Spanish food since I left Spain.
